"Let Go and Let God"

A Journey of Surrender

“Let go and let God.” This phrase hits me differently today.

Years ago, when I first heard it from a neighbor, I nodded as if I understood exactly what it meant. But inside, I felt confused, even frustrated.

Because to me, letting go meant losing control, a control I didn’t even realize I was trying to hold on to. At that point in my life, I just wanted things to turn out the way they were supposed to.

What I didn’t realize then was that I wasn’t just hoping for an outcome, I was trying to control it.

And how many of us are stuck in that cycle without even knowing?

Today, “let go and let God” means something entirely different.

It’s not about giving up, it’s about surrender.

And surrender isn’t passive. It requires wisdom, faith, courage, self-control, sound judgment, discernment, and patience. A lot of it.

Surrender doesn’t happen all at once. It’s a practice. A daily decision to trust that what’s meant for you doesn’t need to be forced.

Surrender reminds me of the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.

When I reflect, I go within, to the place where my spirit resides, and I ask myself:

What can I do in this moment to bring myself peace?

What is actually within my control?

What am I trying to control that doesn’t belong to me?

The answers are often already within us. They’ve been sitting quietly in our subconscious, waiting to be acknowledged.

But awareness alone isn’t enough.

We must respond with wisdom, not the kind shaped by trends or external noise, but spiritual wisdom. The kind rooted in truth, values, and principles that guide us toward an honorable path.

Sound judgment and discernment help us see clearly, beyond illusions and emotional fog.

Then comes the hardest part: taking action!

That requires readiness. And readiness takes time.

This is where patience becomes essential, because real change doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a process.

And it’s not an easy one.

It takes courage to choose yourself.

Courage to change.

Courage to set boundaries.

Courage to commit to surrender daily.

It takes strength to keep going, even when the outcome doesn’t look the way you hoped.

And that’s where faith comes in.

Faith is choosing to believe in what you cannot yet see. It’s trusting the path of peace, growth, and goodness even when it feels uncertain.

As I write this, I can hear a voice saying, “Wow… this sounds so simple.” But the truth is, it’s not. Even with everything I’m aware of, I still struggle to let go and let God.

There are real barriers to growth:

limiting beliefs, irrational thoughts, and the mindset we carry. Our perception of life is shaped by so many unseen influences.

Yes, you can do this work on your own.

But it doesn’t mean you have to.

I support women who are ready to release control, reconnect with their inner strength, and trust themselves and their journey again.

If you feel that pull, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Not with empty phrases, but with real guidance, real tools, and real support.
